DAY 4 - D

Today was a super exciting day! Wednesdays are music class days at our local community centre. The class is called ZZ Tots and is super fun!

Jordyn loves music, she basically knows all the nursery rhymes already...at 16 months old! There is nothing short of LBB (Little Baby Bum) in my house and I am not ashamed to admit that. If you haven't, and you have kids, check them out!

Jordyn's class music teacher is great. She has made a couple bucket loads of musical instruments herself and I am totally going to copy her when I get the chance to go to the Dollar Store and Michaels (local craft store). She made lots of different kinds of shakers from cans with dry pasta inside taped up with bright coloured duct tape, stapled paper plates together with dry pasta inside and she painted fun patterns on them, whisks with bells attached, though Jordyn will concentrate very hard on how to get those bells off...lol! She made drums out of coffee cans, she bought these beautiful silky scarves that the kids just love to throw up in the air and watch them ever-so-gently float back down to the ground. And the music she picks will not only get the kids dancing but the parents too! I just can't sit on the floor while 'Happy' by Pharrell is playing! Once the teacher brought out all the drums, you know what she played? 'Boom Boom, Bang, Bang' by ZZ Top! I mean, come on! Yes! I wanted to jam out all day long! Lol! (Hence the name of the class, I guess!) Jordyn loves it and when we get home from that class, she is still jammin' away in that little imaginative head of hers; dancing, trying to jump and running all over the house. It's really cute to watch.

I meant to bring in my camera for the class but I forgot, so I will next week. Below are some pics of her today and a little drum sesh she had on the kitchen floor before bath time.

Nothing can cure the fog like music can so I suggest we all throw on some good tunes and rock out to a few songs whenever we can!

What songs do you like to have dance parties to? Sometimes I'll turn on the dance channel and jump around with Jordyn downstairs to get some cardio and a good laugh in especially on rainy days. It's the best!
