DAY 2 - B

On this day, B stands for ‘blooming’.

I am so excited for the warmer weather. We are over this winter! And even though we don’t get as much of a winter as the rest of Canada (we barely had any snow), I am still yearning for that warmer weather. The sun has been out a lot lately and it gives me hope for warmth, however, when you go outside, it’s still very brisk. The wind we have in our area is unreal. Things are blooming though! Tulips, blossoms, daffodils, the leaves are starting to open, the bumblebees are buzzing and the grass just got cut today for the first time this year! Thanks honey. I think I just mentioned 5 more B-words!

Spring is one of my favourite seasons. It brings life to a rather dull winter and the colour that blooms is inspiring. People start doing yard work, going for walks, hitting up the parks. The families are out waving to each other on the streets, driveway get-togethers with the neighbours, and you can finally wear those shoes you like without socks!

We had a great Easter yesterday. I cooked a roast beef in the slow cooker with mashed potatoes and carrots. Grandma and grandpa brought Brussel sprouts and asparagus. It is always nice to have a family dinner together. That's what these holidays are about for me; bringing your loved ones under one roof and enjoying each other, making new memories and eating good food. If only all our family were closer together!

Below are some pictures of some of our spring outings. Check out yesterdays’ blog for the kickoff of the A to Z Blogging Challenge!

Oh, and before I forget…my April Fools’ Day prank did not go unnoticed, though it was delayed. Hubs didn’t see the toilet paper spider until the middle of the night when he went to blow his nose (ha! The dark is an even better setting!). I think I like this prank. Lol! See below...

My idea was from Pinterest:
